PART C - Scholastic Instructor Badges
Each unit may request up to 5 Instructor Badges (remember to include yourself). In addition, Scholastic Units may request an additional Badge for the Band Director or School Sponsor. All Instructors must be registered with the school as an Employee, Contractor, or Level 2 Volunteer.

PART D - Independent Instructor Badges
Each Unit may request up to 5 Instructor Badges (remember to include yourself). Each person requesting a badge must achieve satisfactory results on a personal background check. A fee of $12 will be billed for each background check. An Instructor may be exempt from the background check and fee if they are also registered with the School District as an Employee, Contractor, or Level 2 Volunteer.

PART H - Contest Selection
Give careful consideration to the contests you select. A fee applies to each contest that you enter or withdraw from after December 18th.

Color Guard Member units are required to attend PREMIER + FOUR additional contests to be eligible for Championships. Performance order at Championship Finals will be based on placement order at Championship Prelims. WGI Regional participation does not contribute toward Championship eligibility during 2012.

Percussion Member units are required to attend all contests prior to Mar 24th to be eligible for Championships. Performance order at Championship Finals will be based on placement order at Championship Prelims.
PART I - Insurance Credentials for Independent Units
All Independent Units must hold active liability insurance certificates, showing the SFWGA as "additional insured."

PART J - Annual Member Dues
Annual Membership dues are $500. A performance bond of $150 must also be on file, and carries over year to year. Units will be invoiced for the annual dues and any required performance bond. Effective with the 2012 Season, Scholastic Units are only required to post one bond regardless of the number of units they are fielding. Any excessive bond on file for a school program will be credited against the membership dues.
PART K- Acknowledgements
By submitting this application, you are requesting membership in the South Florida Winter Guard Association. You certify that you hold authority to act on behalf of this unit, and agree to uphold and be bound by the Association policies, rules, and Bylaws. If you represent a Scholastic Unit, you certify that each person listed in this application as an Instructor or Director is registered with the School or School District as an Employee, Contractor, or Level 2 Volunteer, approved for unsupervised direct student contact, in accordance with the policies of the Florida Department of Education. As submitter of this application, you attest that each performer meets the eligibility requirements of the SFWGA, and acknowledge that eligibility infractions will result in Disqualification from competiton, and may result in revocation of Membership.
