New Member Information
The SFWGA offers a full range of color guard competitions, from beginning Regional A ensembles to highly advanced World ensembles. We welcome all scholastic groups from public, charter and private schools, as well as independent ensembles for home-schooled performers, performers whose school does not field a winter color guard team, and for collegiate and post-high school graduates.

The SFWGA is a Winter Guard International Circuit Partner, and follows the WGI scoring philosophy.

The SFWGA also supports the development of our Instructors by providing a variety of uptraining seminars and clinics taught by some of the most respected WGI judges and educators in the Country.
Membership Privileges
Annual Member Dues are currently $600 per unit*, and entitle teams to enter all SFWGA contests, plus contest admission passes for Band Directors up to five instructors, plus 5 chaperons or prop assistants, Medallions for Gold, Silver, and Bronze placements in the South Florida Championships, and cover the cost of enrollment in training and educational sessions for all Instructors.
* First-time members also pay a one-time $150 initial registration fee.

Not Quite Ready to join?
The SFWGA invites all color guard ensembles to compete in our contests as a non-Member by paying a per-contest entry fee. Non-Member contest entries open on December 9th. Watch for the link on the SFWGA website Home page. Contests close 14 days prior to the contest date, or earlier if the maximum participant cap is reached.
Non-Member Participation in the South Florida Championships
Ensembles that did not join the SFWGA are still eligible to participate in the South Florida Championships. In order to qualify, ensembles must participate in the Premiere contest on January 27th plus two additional contests prior to the April 7th Championship Finals contest. A separate entry fee applies to the Championship contests.
