Volunteer

Would you like to volunteer at one of our shows?  We have lots of positions available. We need volunteers to scan tickets, check in teams, monitor doors, supervise warm-up. We can't pay you, but we can feed you. We always have plenty of snacks on show days. Plus, if you volunteer for a full shift, we'll feed you dinner. And of course, you'll be able to watch your favorite shows.

In addition, we can always use extra help with office administration, social media, graphic design, web site, merch, etc. And SFWGA is a 501(c)3, so we're happy to certify your community service hours.

Volunteering for SFWGA is fun and rewarding. If you're interested, please contact volunteers@sfwga.org and let us know when you'd like to participate.

Education Fund

Throughout the year, SFWGA organizes educational seminars and instructional events for our members free of charge. We are committed to fostering growth and continual education for all our members, administrators, contest staff, and local judges. Your tax-deductible donation to the SFWGA Education Fund helps us offset the costs associated with providing these educational opportunities to our community.

If you are interested in attending an SFWGA educational event, please contact info@sfwga.org.

Jeff Bridges Memorial Scholarship

In May 2021, the South Florida Winter Guard Association lost longtime board member, judge, clinician, and wise-man Jeff Bridges. His impact on marching bands, drum corps, and winter ensembles around the country is immeasurable. As one of our Hall of Fame Members, we know our South Florida activity would not be the same if it weren't for his decades of contributions and support.

This scholarship fund supports deserving SFWGA members who plan to march in drum corps during the 2024 summer.
